The Niehaus company was founded on 01.04. 1927 as a saddlery and upholsterer (Mottenklopper) by Johann Hinrich Niehaus in Delmenhorst. The company was based at Bremer Straße 49.
In 1946, truck tarpaulins and awnings were added to the company's product range. In the second generation, the son Hans-Jörg (Henning) Niehaus later continued to run the company. The photo on the left was taken in 1966 and shows the still young master craftsman Hans-Jörg.
In 1972, master interior decorator Hans-Jörg Niehaus took over the business. The focus of the work shifted to tarpaulins and awnings.
In 1990, due to a lack of space, we moved to Groß Ippener and doubled the production area to 750 square metres. At this time, Jörg Niehaus also joined the company as a trained sailmaker.
In 2011, a further hall was acquired in order to meet the constant new requirements. At present, we employ 10 people.
